Roles & Responsibilities
Shuttering Carpenter
- Prepare and install shuttering and formwork for concrete structures.
- Measure, cut and assemble formwork materials.
- Ensure formwork is properly aligned, levelled and secured.
- Dismantle shuttering safely after concrete work is completed.
Labour
- Assist skilled workers with construction and site activities.
- Load, unload and move construction materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the worksite.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.
Mason
- Perform brickwork, blockwork and other masonry activities.
- Prepare and apply cement mortar and related materials.
- Follow construction measurements and site instructions.
- Maintain quality and safety standards during construction work.
Steel Fixer
- Cut, bend and fix reinforcement steel according to drawings and specifications.
- Position reinforcement bars accurately before concrete work.
- Tie reinforcement securely using appropriate tools.
- Follow site safety procedures while handling steel materials.
Steel Structure Erector
- Assemble and erect structural steel components.
- Position beams, columns and structural members according to plans.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment for erection activities.
- Follow approved safety procedures while working at height.
Grinder
- Operate grinding tools and equipment safely.
- Grind, smooth and finish metal surfaces.
- Remove excess material, weld spatter and sharp edges.
- Follow workplace safety and equipment procedures.
Painter
- Prepare surfaces before painting.
- Apply paint and protective coatings according to specifications.
- Maintain proper finishing and quality standards.
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
Pipe Fabricator
- Measure, cut and fabricate pipes according to drawings.
- Prepare pipes and components for installation.
- Use fabrication tools and equipment safely.
- Ensure fabricated pipe sections meet required specifications.
Pipe Fitter
- Install, align and assemble piping systems.
- Read piping drawings and measurements.
- Connect pipes, valves and related components.
- Check pipe alignment and installation quality.
Rigger
- Assist with lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment.
- Select and use appropriate rigging equipment.
- Secure loads before lifting operations.
- Follow lifting plans and workplace safety procedures.
Scaffolder
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding structures safely.
- Inspect scaffolding components before use.
- Ensure scaffolding is properly secured and stable.
- Follow safety requirements when working at height.
Welder DSS
- Perform welding work according to project requirements.
- Prepare metal surfaces and welding joints.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and defects.
- Follow welding safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Welder TIG & ARC
- Perform TIG and ARC welding according to project specifications.
- Prepare and position materials before welding.
- Maintain proper welding quality and finishing.
- Operate welding equipment safely and responsibly.
Brush Painter – Touch Up
- Perform touch-up painting on metal and structural surfaces.
- Prepare surfaces before applying paint.
- Correct minor paint defects and uneven areas.
- Maintain proper finishing and cleanliness.
Structure Fitter
- Assemble and fit structural steel components.
- Align structural members according to drawings and measurements.
- Use hand and power tools for fitting activities.
- Work with welders and erection teams to complete structural work.
